Field corn or ears with large yellow kernels makes richer tea than peaches and cream types but both can be used. Spread kernels on baking sheet and bake at 325oF, turning often with a spatula and roast until kernels loose all their moisture and turn golden. Empty kernels into saucepan along with the cobs which have been broken to fit into pot. Add boiling water. Reduce heat and simmered covered for 40 minutes. Raise heat and boil vigorously for 10 more minutes. Remove from heat and discard cobs. Serve with some corn added to each cup of tea.
