8 Kriyas

In stillness the world is restored.
-Lao Tzu

The spring is around the corner here in beautiful Japan. A time when nature invites you to take a break and smell the flowers.

On a daily basis you need to invest time to
stop
and
listen
to your breath. Eight Kriyas is a pranayama that pacifies all doshas.

Repeat each step 5 times:

1. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your nose focusing on your chest.

2. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth, still focusing on your chest.

3. Inhale through your mouth and exhale through your nose focusing on your belly.

4. Use your thumb to close your right nostril. Inhale/exhale through the left nostril focusing on your chest.

5. Use your ring finger to close your left nostril. Inhale/exhale through the right nostril focusing on your chest.

6. Inhale/exhale through your nose focusing on your belly.

7. Inhale/exhale through your mouth focusing on your belly.

8. Inhale five slow sips through your nose, exhale through your mouth focusing on your chest.
