My friends

Be compassionate.
Not just to fiends, but to everyone.
-Bhagavad Gita

There is something special with japanese people. As you learn to know them you have a friend for life. I feel blessed. Thanks to yoga I have a solid friendship to a big group of yoginis. We breathe and live yoga. We follow the same pattern.

Last night I went out with my yogafriends. We were very happy that our pranayama and meditation teacher, Hiroshi Kusuhara, followed along. We had a delicious dinner. All 12 of us went home with an onaka suita (full and satisfied stumack) and a filled heart.

As I got out of the night train I bumped into my daughters principal. He asked me if I talked about anything else than yoga during my yogini dinner.

Of course...yes and no.

Relationships, food, kids, work, traveling, dreams, goals, clothes, apartments... Usual stuff. The difference is that yoga is related to everything. Yoga is our life partner and follows along in everything we do, think or say.

Having friends is like standing in
Half Moon Pose
, Ardha Chandrasana. You need to have balance. Equinimity is based on having time for your self and finding time for your friends. Too little or too much of both weights gets you imbalanced.

You also need to have the power to trust. Practice conscientiously. Ardha Chandrasana will get you into a good alignment if you learn to let go of your fear.

Oh, I'll get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I'll get high with a little help from my friends
