Okinawa therapy

Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons.
It is to grow in the open air
and
to eat and sleep with the earth.

-Walt Whitman

Japanese have the highest longevity rate in the world, but Okinawans hold that record within Japan, making them some of the healthiest and oldest living people in the world.

After an interesting and educational afternoon with my Australian anatomy teacher, Liza Fitzpatrick it was time for dinner. Yoga dinner. With a bunch of my dear yogini friends we hedded for Okinawa food.

The island of Okinawa, is the best place on earth for healthy aging. The Okinawans show us that living a healthy lifestyle will not only help us live longer, but will also help us live disease-free.

Generally the Okinawans are unstressed and maintain a positive outlook on life. They have strong coping skills and a deep sense of spirituality, meaning and purpose. Positive outlook in the Okinawans is thought to explain their reduced risk for dementia.

From an ayurvedic point of view the "Okinawa- yoga-dinner" pacified our doshas. All our six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent) got stimulated.

Get started now by learning to ....

change your eating habits, exercise more and

relax
