Conquer depression

"Depression is nourished
by a lifetime of ungrieved and unforgiven hurts."

Depression is a severe illness. It´s a sign of imbalance. Usually a combination of many things. When you lack of love and happiness. Your mind is caught in regrets from the past or fears of the future and never in the present moment. You are hanging on to resentments or anger.

Luckily there is hope for recoverment. You need to find the hidden key to lock up your soul and ego. The only person holding the key is you. With the support of professionals, family and friends you get courage to turn the key.

Recovery is also gained when you:

-start living, be present in the moment, open the door to joy in life.

-release the darkness and replace it with the giving and receiving love.

-forgive, perhaps you need to begin with forgiving yourself

-believe in yourself, you are responsible for your state of mind, that you can control you

-meditation especially mantra meditations.

-repetitive exercise (walking/running) develop your mental strength and releases the good hormones.

-yoga is a good method for battling depression. Bellow are some poses that relieve depression.

Wheel Pose

-a great chest-opener

-releases tightness/ preassure in the chest and thereby eases anxiety

-connects you to all seven energy chakras

-eases tension in neck, shoulders and lower back.

Balasana

-peaceful pose

-relaxing and promotes a feeling of safety and security

Warrior I

-helps you feel more grounded

-you gain equilibrium, both mentally and physically

Savasana

-to give you a better perspective

-good relaxation

-excellent pose to do when you feel upset or blue, if it´s hard to get out of bed in the morning to face the day

-a "sleeping pill" if you suffer from insomnia

Gratitude makes sense of our past,

brings peace for today,

and creates a vision for tomorrow.

  2. Depression is something everybody has experienced either personally, in the family or among friends. An illness that doesn´t go away sweeping it under the carpet.
